JHGS4 Cartridge Pressure Relief Electric Lubrication Pumps

Operation

1. For JHGS4 type, please use the cartridge replacement method to fill grease. Because a strong spring is installed in the cover, when the cover is loosened, please avoid the cover popping out due to the spring force.
2. The applicable lubricant viscosity range is NLGI 000, 00, 0, 1#. When the grease volume is lower than the normal level, please replace the new cartridge immediately.
3. When using the lubrication pump for the first time or when the lubricant cannot be pumped out or the cartridge is replaced, you must first perform exhaust action through the forced lubrication function and the exhaust port according to the user manual.
4. When using the lubrication pump for the first time, fill the main pipeline and branch pipeline with grease through the lubrication pump or grease replenishing machine, and then connect the distributor.
5. When the lubricant volume of the lubrication pump is too low, please replace the new cartridge immediately to prevent the pump from sucking air and failing to pump out oil.
6. When the pressure value of the electric lubrication pump does not match the default value, you can adjust the pressure regulating valve according to the user manual.

Precaution

1. This lubrication pump uses NBR and VITON as sealing components. Do not use any lubricants that may damage these materials.
2. To prevent air from entering the cartridge, please squeeze out a little lubricant before installing it when replacing the cartridge.
3. When the lubricating grease in the JHGS4 cartridge is used up, it is prohibited to refill the lubricant and reuse it. A new cartridge must be used to replace it.
4. If the JHGS4 electric lubrication pump runs for a long time, it will cause the internal motor to be hot, which will affect the temperature of the machine itself. Therefore, the interval time of the lubrication pump needs to be set to more than 10 times the action time to allow the motor to dissipate heat effectively. For example: the action time is set to 60 seconds, so the minimum interval time setting value needs to be 600 seconds.
5. As for the time setting of the electric lubrication pump, the first lubrication action after the machine is turned on the next day after shutdown may have insufficient pressure. This is because the residual pressure inside the oil pipe has been completely released. It is recommended that the first startup action time should be more than 140% of the normal action.

Feature

1. JHG4 lubrication pump is suitable for lubricating grease and low-flow lubricating oil. The applicable liquid butter viscosity is NLGI 000, 00, 0#.
2. Use a grease gun or automatic filling machine to refill grease from inlet of lubricator to prevent air and debris from entering.
3. The electric lubrication pump is controlled by PLC and can be used with MU, MG2, MG quantitative distributors to control the oil supply. MU, MG2, MG quantitative distributors have multiple flow options, and the same set of distributors can also have multiple flow options.

Precaution

1. When a new lubrication pump is used for the first time or has not been used for a long time, the air in it must be completely exhausted. Fill the main pipeline and branch pipeline with grease through the lubrication pump or grease replenishing machine, and then connect the distributor.
2. The lubrication pump uses nitrile rubber (NBR) and fluororubber (VITON) as sealing components. Do not use any lubricant that may damage these materials.
4. When the lubricating grease in the JHG4 reservoir is used up, be sure to add it from the grease filling port.
5. If the pump has not been operated for a long time, the lubricating oil film may be broken. It is best to manually force the lubrication pump to operate so that the lubrication surface has a proper amount of grease lubrication to avoid wear or burning due to insufficient lubrication.
6. When the voltage specification of the lubrication pump is a 24VDC lubrication pump, pay attention to the positive and negative poles when wiring the motor.
7. JHG4 electric lubrication pump can be equipped with a reed detector. The reed detector position should avoid interference with the reed detector induction due to the magnetic force of the motor or other factors, causing the reed detector induction to fail.

Features

Level switch function
The level switch is integrated inside the J200 lubrication pump. When the level switch is activated, the pump can be stopped before the grease is completely exhausted, effectively preventing air from mixing into the grease and ensuring the normal operation of the lubrication system.
Working condition restrictions
The level switch only outputs a signal when the J200 lubrication pump is powered on. Since the pump stops when the level switch is activated, this may cause the pressure switch to not work properly and output an abnormal pressure signal.
Operation precautions
The level switch and the filter adapter form an integral unit. When the empty cartridge is removed, the abnormal output on the device side remains. If the power is turned on in this case, the J200 lubrication pump will inhale air. Therefore, be sure to insert a new cartridge before turning the power back on and release the abnormal output.

Pipeline

1. Connection steps
Connect the pipe to the outlet of the lubrication pump. Use a pipe with a pressure resistance of 10MPa or higher. First, manually fix the joint to ensure the initial stability of the connection. Then tighten it with a wrench. Pay attention to the moderate strength of this operation. The appropriate torque is 7.1N･m.
2. Check after connection
After the connection is completed, be sure to carefully check whether there is grease leakage at the joint to ensure the sealing of the connection. Then, exhaust the air to remove the air that may exist in the pipe and lubrication pump.
3. Pressure situation description
Although 8MPa or higher pressure may occur when the main pipeline is short, it will not cause problems under normal use, but it is still necessary to pay attention to the pressure changes of the lubrication system to ensure that it is within the normal working range.

Refilling

– If the lubrication pump does not discharge grease, there may be less grease remaining in the reservoir. If the valve does not discharge, the valve may be blocked.
– If there is air in the lubrication pump, exhaust it according to the instructions in the user manual. If there is air in the main pipeline, remove the end plug and operate the pump to exhaust.
– If the lubrication pump does not run, check the 24VDC power connection to ensure that the positive and negative poles of the wires are connected correctly. Even if the polarity is wrong, the pump will not be damaged, but it needs to be corrected.
– If the lubrication pump discharges low pressure, there may be leakage at the pump outlet or the machine pipeline connection parts. If the pipeline is damaged, it needs to be replaced.
– If the main pipeline pressure is not established, refer to the treatment of the lubrication pump not discharging grease. It may also be a power outage, pipeline damage or air in the system.

Features

1. Power supply and start-up
The lubrication pump is powered by a 24V DC power supply. When the power is turned on, the motor starts. The rated current of the motor is 0.8A. Within the normal power supply range, the motor can run stably and provide power for the pump.
2. Lubricant delivery
The motor drives the lubrication pump to work. The lubricant is extracted from the storage container or cartridge through the internal structure including the plunger, gears, etc., and is delivered to each lubrication point of the machine through the pipeline at a displacement of 7ml/min. During the delivery process, the discharge pressure can reach 8MPa.
3. Metering and control
In the lubrication system, the positive displacement distributor is used for precise control over the amount of lubricant to be delivered. This enables each lubrication point to acquire an appropriate amount of lubricant in order to achieve an optimized lubrication effect, rather than wasting lubricants. The running time and interval cycle of the lubrication pump are set by the timer installed on the machine and work under program setup.

Refilling

– Replace the cartridge after the LHL in the cartridge is completely exhausted to avoid air entering the cartridge due to residual grease, which may cause malfunctioning of the lubrication pump.
– During the process of replacement of the cartridge, make sure that the surroundings are clean to avoid foreign objects like dust and impurities entering the lubrication pump body or cartridge.
– It is strictly forbidden to turn on the power when the cartridge is not installed in place or removed, otherwise the lubrication pump may inhale air or foreign objects.
– When replacing the cartridge, if you need to wipe around the oil suction port of the pump, you must use a clean cloth to prevent foreign objects from being sucked into the lubrication pump.
– Only use the specified LHL grease cartridge. Using other non-specified lubricants may cause lubrication system failure.
– Never fill the used empty grease cartridge with lubricant and use it again.

Wiring

– Personnel qualifications: The wiring of the lubrication pump should be done by personnel qualified to do electrical work to ensure that the wiring is appropriate and safe.
– Polarity confirmation: The motor has polarity. In connecting the (+) and (-) wires, one should refer to the diagram for careful confirmation to avoid equipment failure due to incorrect polarity.
– Insulation measures: If the wires from the 24VDC power supply may contact the lubrication pump body, human body or surrounding objects, insulated wires must be used to prevent leakage and electric shock accidents.
– Ground connection: Connect the ground wire to the designated component to prevent leakage and electric shock. At the same time, to prevent fire caused by overcurrent, pay attention to the current limit. If the current exceeds 1.2A, the internal drive mechanism of the lubrication pump will return to the initial position.

Maintenance

– Check lubricant levels: Check regularly based on number of pump cycles and setup of system.

Precautions

– Before connecting the pipe to the lubrication point, fill the long pipe section first to help remove air from the centralized lubrication system.
– Install the lubrication line to the lubrication system metering device, but do not connect it to the piston pump unit yet.
– For cartridge-type lubrication pumps, screw in the cartridge. For tank-type lubrication pumps, fill the tank and ensure that the cartridge or tank is ready.
– Turn the lubrication pump vent screw one turn, press and hold the bleed button until the lubricant without bubbles is discharged from the vent screw. This process can expel air from the pump body and nearby pipes. Then tighten the vent screw to prevent air from entering the system again.
– Connect the lubrication line to the pump outlet, press and hold the bleed button until the lubricant without bubbles is discharged from the lubrication line, and then reconnect the lubrication line. This ensures that the air in the section of the line has been exhausted.
– Repeat the above bleed procedure to bleed all metering devices to ensure that there is no air entrained in the entire lubrication system.

Features

Mounting

– Fix the lubrication pump on a vertical and flat surface that can fully bear the weight of the pump.
– Install and fix the lubrication pump with 6 M8 bolts through the φ9 holes.
– It is recommended to apply anti-vibration glue when the lubrication pump is subject to vibration.
– Install the lubrication pump in a location that is isolated from water, oil, chips and dust.
– The vibration of the installation location needs to be 9G (88m/s2) or less.
– On the electrical connection of the lubrication pump unit, make sure to take appropriate measures to prevent interference between signals due to inductance, capacitance or electromagnetic coupling. Although the cables are placed separately, use anti-interference cables in places where electrical interference fields can distort signal transmission.
